Preparing your tracks using NetMix PRO 5

This tutorial describes how to use NetMix PRO 5.1 or higher to embed NetMix compatible metadata into your .wav files.

This tutorial assumes that your text metadata has been exported to a tab delimited or comma delimited or .xls file.

Preparation

The preparation is the same as when using the free NetMix Encoder software .

  1. Save your .xls spreadsheet as a tab delimited text file. The first row should contain the field names excel.jpg
  2. Copy all the .wav files you want to prepare to a "master folder" masterfolder2.jpg
  3. Copy the covert art files (.jpg) into their respective folders. The name of the cover art file can be anything, but the file extension must be .jpg and there must only be 1 (one) .jpg per folder.SkitchScreenSnapz001.png

Steps

The basic steps are

  1. Scan the master folder with the .wav files
  2. Import/Merge text metadata
  3. Write  metadata into  .wav files

Any row that has no metadata, has no NetMix compatible metadata !
